Good morning and welcome to a new month😌
Hello PCM's🤭, Hope our preparations for nysc has been going well….Today I want to give you heads-up on things you should be aware of to avoid being kicked out of orientation camp🥲
So basically what I'm saying is that you can still be sent out of orientation camp even after you've successfully registered and gotten posted.
Yup! you heard right
PCMs will not be registered in camp if there is disparity (difference) in the following;
❌The name on the Statement of Result or Original Degree Certificate and that of their Senate list or dashboard after online registration.
✅ if the name on your certificate/Statement of Result is correct, but wrong on the dashboard, there will be a link on your dashboard where you can use to apply for name correction after your online registration. Note that only name spelling and name arrangement can be corrected, there is no option for addition or removal of name. So if you are currently seeing something like 3 names on Statement of result and 2 names on Senate list when you check senate list portal, contact your SAO immediately let him or her follow up.
❌ The date of graduation on the Statement of Result and that of the one on the dashboard.
✅ Contact your Student Affairs Officer (SAO) for your date of graduation correction if the one on your statement of result is not the same with the one you see on the senate list when you check the senate list portal.
❌ The passport on your dashboard is not yours.
✅ Due to the crowd of people who wants to get registered at the cafe, sometimes the caféman might mix details up. So to correct wrong passport uploaded, visit the ICT center at any NYSC state secretariat before camp.
❌ Wrongly uploaded thumbprint
✅ At the orientation camp, a state code will be generated, which will be your NYSC identity number. The state code legitimately makes you a bonafide corp member of a particular state. You will get the state code immediately your thumb is verified at the camp. If you were wrongly thumb printed while registering at the cafe, the biometric scanner at the camp won't capture and generate a state code for you. So if you know it was wrongly done at the cafe, visit the NYSC state secretariat for re-capturing before heading to camp.
❌ No Signature And Date on Green-card
As irrelevant as this may sound PCMs without a duely signed green-card signed by them with date included will not be allowed to proceed for documentation, or if allowed you might be embarrassed by officials before they allow you to sign it in front of them. So once you print your green-card any day after your online registration, sign and write date on the space provided at the right bottom corner and don't laminate it.
